fivefingers. i think. yes.

Ok so this is a silly little post but I honestly never want to forget how thrilling this silly little experience is! It all started last thursday... I was sore from the 8 mile run me and nina did together over the phone and groaning around the house still feeling good from the endorphines from endurance but my hips felt like they were going to pop out and worst of worst my knees were killing me. I just kept thinking to myself I want fivefingered shoes because I read they make your knees not hurt. And then voila awesome schol refund check came in the mail and next day after service I got kathy to go to travel and country and try on the alien shoes!!!!

I am totally and 100% sold on the fivefinger minimalistic running shoes. And I have yet to read born to run book. I am in love with running! I have only done 5 miles in them over the past week and my feet and ankles feel so much stronger! My calf muscles have never been this big! Not that I was particularly going for big calf muscles as my goal, but I am now seeing that maybe those calf muscles support the feet muscles which make running easier, faster, and more fun. All I have been doing is starting my normal run with a mile or 2 in the barefoot shoes and then the whole rest of my run feels easier. With no sore knees. This my friends is a revolution to running! sold.

Oh what a hot Summer...its dark out but still 90 degrees

Boston.. where no one knows my name... I never thought Augustana was all that amazing, but belting that song out along with Ava's way out of tune baby grand piano, or whatever that amazing instrument is called, is so fun!

Wisconsin is so beautiful. And so slow and relaxing (tract work in the country hehe) I miss you avril and katelin travis :( and kelsey :) and Cori...

Well training for a marathon sure is harder than it sounds. Niner beaner is organizing a half marathon Nov 20.... I ran1.3 miles today and thought my feet were going to fall off. But yeah I am feeling the determination!! oh yeah. bring it on sofa soph

my little bloggy blog its been so long. Well. I am so happy I passed my test today!! It was on mental health which was very interesting to study.  Sooooo Augusto I need sooooooo much service time. Now i just have my final next week....holy moly more studying for that yikes. and then 3 weeks off=lots of service. I really want to go visit ava but the tickets are so expensive././/./././ hmmmm... same for the convention in new york... But conveniently Julia Gulia Mulia is coming to visit in august and she said she wants to go out in service hehehhe yeah you'll get to go out in service alright hahah til you drop because I need like 150 hrs+++! durrrr hopsital safety orientation zzzz

Last week was amazing! How I love doing nothing but service... and writing in this blog. No work, no school, just a whole lot of service. I got more time last week then I got for all of last month. Pioneering is the best! It felt like Costa Rica except with a beautiful ACed corolla instead of the beautiful beach. I got my windows tinted!!! Corollas are pretty awesome cars. I mean they have a lot more leg room then jettas... hehe ok enough of that.

Ok so nursing school really isn't all that bad. The summer semester lined up is going to be a lot of studying but the book is really interesting and I am kind of looking forward to reading it and I am doing clinicals at the hospital (Soph told me there are more places to hide there compared to the nursing home) So that's a plus plus plus.      :-D

However, we have to do this hospital orientation and boy is it sooo dull. I'm sitting at barnies drinking delicious decaf coffee...I have been listening to recordings about safety for such a long time. And then oh no I forgot to actually listen sooo then I have to play it again....

Mmmm I love coffee..... and iced chai tea hehehheheeh and the national! "nobody knows where you are living, nobody knows where you are....you're so far around the bend (dedededelallaa) and there's no leavin' new york...."

the master plan

I have officially applied for like 12 scholarships. It is such hard work. They all want different essays. Some 2 pages. some 300 words. some history, some future goals. I've been doing for the past 4 hrs! I sure hope it pays off. The motivation------ Nina and possibly some friends from Hindi group are going to India and other places in December. Oh yeah you know what I am thinking.....If I could pull this one off!!! I'm done school December 9th right when the tickets start to go down..supposedly. Oh i hope this works!

This nice lady in my class who sits behind me kindly told me that she was going to tell our teacher on me if I didn't stop being so distracting. Me distracting? I sit quietly in my bubble typing essays? But apparently "move around a lot." hmmm yes it was interesting. (I think someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, wishing they were eligible for seventeen magazine-are you pretty awesome scholarship.)
