A Lovely Week Without School

I've had a lovely week of field service. I am auxiliary pioneering this month! I met a seminary student on Tuesday and got to converse about the trinity with a him for a while. I'll give him credit for owning a Greek Bible, but please don't pretend to know how to read it. I love the new Bible teach book. The appendix in the back was very helpful.

Life without school is just so relaxed. It is very unimaginable to me the amount of time school takes up. I was told that because lots of kids did poorly on the FCATS they are going to only give them public schoolers 3 weeks of summer. Yikes!

I had another soccer game tonight. It was unexpected. My Coach was a rather uninformed, thus the Players where also. Along with a bunch of other non on my team kids played 2 games in one night. I missed half of the first one. Oops, I should have checked the messages more often. Then the second game we played was against these very mean. big, 5'7 girls. They were brutal. I feel as if I have permanent soccer ball markings on my thighs. Hopefully they will fade, otherwise I will be proud of my victory marks. Heheh.

The new cello is still a hassle. I was trying to tune it and one of the fine tuners broke off. Sigh. Then the little wood decoration broke off. I tried to tune it with the big non fine tuners and they sure don't work. I try to move them a bit and they tend to slide out of their places. I twirl them a little and they just twirl right back. I called the music school and they were so thoughtful as to say they would gladly exchanged the "deformed" cello. Thaaaank you.

Some Soccer, Some Service, & A Few Pieces of Pizza :)

I had a soccer game on friday night it was great. We won. 3 to 1. I had a half day of school yesterday. I got to leave before lunch and then when I got home I forgot to eat. I wasn't neccesarily hungry untill my mom came home and made dinner. I was then really hungry so I wolfed down a lot of food. Bad idea to wolf down 4 peices of pizza on the way to the soccer game, but it was all good. I am auxilary pioneering this month. I went out and service this morning and afternoon. I worked with Debbie Ramos in the morning and we met this man who was very well educated in the bible, except had some wrong ideas, but was on the right tract. He knows a bunch of differnt languages. He spent like half of his life studing word for word verses of the bible. I was amazed at the very smallest details he knew so much about. Yet, he still believes he's going to hevean and what not.

I denailed wood for my dad yesterday. The most boring physical laborious work ever. I was quite surprised at the many "tricks" for getting te job done. Oh yes and how in fact certain methods may be portrayed as "beautiful". As I gently smashed the opposite side of the hammer into the nail and smoothly pushed it to the left forming a "path"for the nail to come out. it was quite "beautiful".

I wrote a poem that I really like, but I left it at my school. The new cello is driving me insane. It is so hard to tune. I try to tune it with the tuners on the top and i move them a little bit and then they just move back. The fine tuners on the bottom are little stiff nails. I have blisters all over my thumb from trying to move these things. It's very frustrating.

I was supposed to be grounded yesterday night. Heh me grounded, first time. Something about falling asleep and forgeting to do dishes on tuesday. My moms really breaking down and trying to dicipline. :(. Well i sure got out of that "grounding". The soccer girl called and said my coach messd up and that we really did have a game tonight. Yes! And to think it would have been first state of groundedness. haha Not anymore.
